About the job:
What you do
As a Radiologist, you use medical imaging techniques to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. You learn and use machines such as X-rays and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). You also should be knowledgeable about radiation safety to keep an eye on radioactivity.
The tough stuff
As a Radiologist, you will have to:
- Deal with a lot of eye strain and headaches after a day’s work
- Be exposed to radiatio, if you're into Intervention
The cool stuff
As a Radiologist, you will get to:
- Have surgeons and internists come to the radiology department to ask your opinion before they open the patient
