About the job:
As Head of Market Access & Public Affairs in a Pharmaceutical company, your job is to develop good relations with governments and other parties, to make sure that the pharmaceutical company you represent, has a good environment to work in and can deliver it's medicine to as many patients as possible.
Your job will be to facilitate activities such as the approval of new drugs at the government level to optimize the reimbursement to patients, along with creating the right advocacy plan to support better access conditions of the medicine to the patients. Think of it as a combination of Management, Government Affairs and Pharmaceuticals.
As Head of Market Access & Public Affairs in a Pharmaceutical company, you will:
- Face pressure. You'll likely work overtime, putting out fires and managing crises during deadlines.
- Need experience. This job requires intimate knowledge of the drug-approval process and regulations.
- Be required to stay up to date with changing regulations
- Need to be a good researcher

Education stuff:
- You must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or a Scientific field
- You will need a scientific background if you plan on working in Pharmaceuticals
- However, you can also hold this role in other industries, where pharmaceutical experience is not required
- An MBA is preferred

Previously, he held several high positions in companies such as AstraZeneca, Abbott, and Janssen. He received his degree in Pharmacy at USJ and he has an MBA from Sorbonne in Healthcare Systems.
